STORES DEPLOYMENT TO KENYAN TELECOM LEADER SAFARICOM
As a strategic partner brought in by Oracle, SkillNet completed an assessment of Safaricom’s existing systems and business processes in early 2013 resulting in Safaricom’s selection of Oracle Point-of-Service, Back Office, Central Office, and Store Inventory Management to resolve issues that they faced with their current systems surrounding theft and fraud.
SkillNet worked to integrate the Oracle Stores suite with a large variety of systems including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), CRM, and billing, as well as integrations to their M-PESA mobile payment system. SkillNet initially took Safaricom live in Kenya at their second largest store location and then completed rollout to all their remaining stores.
With its new platform, Safaricom is seeing significant improvement to store operational procedures, enhanced in store customer experience, and much needed control over inventory.
